The situation

Whalesync’s HubSpot connector is retired. Teams need somewhere to land.

Whalesync now lists HubSpot under previous connectors, a category for connectors it supported in the past but no longer offers. Teams planning new Airtable and HubSpot workflows need a supported replacement path.

Impora is building two-way Airtable HubSpot sync as a new channel on top of its existing Airtable import and connector engine. The product overlaps with what Whalesync users cared about, with a stronger emphasis on validation, association-aware mapping, conflict review, and recovery.

What you need from a replacement

The things any serious replacement has to handle.

  • Linked-record and HubSpot association sync that survives renames and re-mappings.
  • A conflict path that pauses on disagreement instead of overwriting silently.
  • Validation before every write, not just at setup.
  • Recovery from failed rows, with a downloadable error report.
  • Transparent Sync pricing with a Business-customer founder path before launch.

Migration considerations

What to plan for when you switch.

Existing Whalesync mapping configs do not import directly. The mapping has to be recreated, which usually takes 30 to 60 minutes per base for a moderately complex schema. The schema-aware import engine surfaces required fields, select options, and linked-record targets automatically, so the recreation is mostly confirmation rather than authoring from scratch.

Plan to run the initial sync in preview mode first. Impora shows every record it would create, update, or hold for review before any write happens. For Whalesync users who are used to mirrors that just ran, this extra preview step is the biggest workflow change.

Pricing tiers are different. HubSpot Sync launches at $249/mo. Business customers before launch qualify directly for $149/mo Sync pricing, locked for as long as the subscription stays active. Pro customers can qualify for that same founder price by upgrading to Business before launch. Free waitlist signup does not lock pricing.

FAQ

Whalesync-specific questions.

Will Impora import my Whalesync mapping configs directly?
No, not at launch. Whalesync configs do not have a public export format we can read. The recreation is straightforward because Impora reads the live Airtable and HubSpot schemas automatically, but mappings have to be confirmed manually on the first run.
Is there a migration tool?
A guided migration walkthrough is on the roadmap for v1. It will not auto-import old configs, but it will walk Whalesync users through the equivalent setup in Impora step by step, with the schema pre-loaded.
How does the pricing compare?
HubSpot Sync launches at $249/mo. Business customers before launch qualify directly for $149/mo Sync pricing, locked for as long as the subscription stays active. Pro customers can qualify for the same founder price by upgrading to Business before launch. Legacy Whalesync pricing is less useful than confirming the replacement workflow, object scope, and recovery path.
Why Impora for Whalesync users?
Whalesync users care about relational sync, not only flat field copy. Impora is being built around association-aware sync, validation, recovery, multi-object launch scope, and a Business-customer founder-price model.
When can I switch?
Beta opens in 2026. The free waitlist gives launch updates and a chance at beta access. It does not lock founder pricing or guarantee beta admission.
